Is there any Maintenance required for The CORE Tower?
To ensure the longevity and performance of your RED LIGHT THERAPY TOWER, it’s essential to store it unplugged properly when not in use. Keep the unit in a dry and secure location. Cover the tower with the provided dust bag for convenient storage.
Occasional dusting with a light damp cloth is recommended with the unit unplugged.
Can I use The CORE Tower in a sauna?
Yes, the CORE Tower is designed for seamless integration with Clearlight Saunas. Engineered to withstand sauna heat, it securely attaches to the sauna door, allowing users to combine red light exposure with infrared sauna sessions for an optimised experience.
How should I use Red Light Therapy?
For General Health, Wellness, and Energy:
A. When standing 15 cm - 25 cm (6”-10”) from the red light, we recommend a 15-20 min session. Our stand design ensures an ideal distance of 15cm (6 inches) between you and the red light therapy tower. Simply align your feet with the base on the stand for optimal results.
B. When sitting 30.5 cm - 46 cm (12-18”) away from the tower, we recommend a 20-30 min session. This distance provides consistent light exposure over a broader area.
Consistency is key when incorporating light therapy into your routine. For best results, use consistently and adjust frequency based on personal preference. For targeted areas with concentrated pain, exposure can be as frequent as 2 to 3 times per day.
Spot treatment therapy focuses on specific body areas such as the back, arms, or joints. It is recommended to place the body part approximately 10 to 15 cm (4 to 6 inches) from the tower for 10-20 minutes per treatment.
Light therapy exposure should follow recommended guidelines for optimal results. Excessive use may not provide additional benefits.
Do I need to protect my eyes while enjoying this therapy daily?
To avoid potential risks, protect your eyes during Red Light Therapy sessions with the eye goggles provided and refrain from staring directly into the light.
Are there any contraindications for using Red Light Therapy?
- If you have a serious health issue or chronic illness, consult your doctor or pharmacist before starting Red Light Therapy to address any concerns or medication interactions.
- Red Light Therapy is generally safe and pain-free, with no severe side effects reported. However, some users have experienced minor side effects such as headaches, irritability, and eye strain.
- Consult your doctor if you have bipolar disorder, as rare cases of Red Light Therapy causing mania in bipolar patients have been reported.
- To avoid potential risks, protect your eyes during Red Light Therapy sessions and refrain from staring directly into the light.
- If you have photosensitivity conditions like lupus or are on medications that make you photosensitive, it’s best to avoid red light therapy.
- Trust your instincts and if you notice any changes during Red light therapy speak to your doctor promptly to address any concerns. Your well-being is our top priority.
How does Red Light Therapy differ from laser therapy?
Red Light Therapy is less invasive and operates at lower energy levels, making it suitable for regular use and targeting a wider range of wellness applications compared to laser therapy.
Why is the angle of light important for light therapy?
Unlike most competitors' lights that have a fixed angle lens, Clearlight's exclusive Variable Optic Lenses provide maximum skin coverage and the most benefits in the shortest time.
Is there such a thing as too much red light therapy?
Your red light session will depend on how close you are to the unit. If you are within 15cm of the red light, we recommend a 15-20 minute session per treatment area. If you are 30cm and further from the red light, we recommend a 20-30 minute session per treatment area. Light therapy exposure should be used as per manufacturer guidelines. Using the device beyond the recommended duration may not yield additional effects.
Can I use red light therapy on a fresh wound/injury?
Red light therapy is being studied in various fields, including skin care and recovery. If you have a fresh wound or injury, consult a healthcare professional before use.
I can't see anything from some of the LED's. Are they working?
Near-infrared light is invisible to the human eye, so not all LEDs emit visible light. Rest assured, they are working.
Can I use the Red Light Core Tower outside of the sauna?
Absolutely! The Red Light Core Tower is portable and can be used against a wall or even on its side for flexible usage options. Enjoy the therapeutic benefits of red light therapy with the convenience and versatility you desire.
Do I need to wear clothing?
We recommend wearing as little clothing as possible, particularly on the areas being treated. Full exposure to the skin with no obstructions will yield the best results. You may wear clothes if desired or if bare skin is inappropriate, and suggest wearing light fabrics if possible.
Should I use creams or lotions?
It is best not to use creams or lotions right before a treatment as it forms a barrier and prevents you from getting the full effect of the therapy. It also might irritate the skin.
Can I use it while being on medications?
There are some medications which interact with Light Therapy. Some drugs cause photosensitivity, so it is always best to check with your physician before using the unit if you are taking medications.
Can children and elderly use it?
Light Therapy continues to be studied for its potential applications. If you have any doubts or concerns, we recommend checking with your healthcare provider.
